Current Fashion Obsession: Jeremy Scott
With references including Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World to Grace Jones’ headgear, once again Mr Lagerfeld ticked all the boxes. TEC is loving Chanel’s latest collection, and especially loving the ‘Nail Ring’!
Move over Topshop, it’s the Carphone Warehouse that’s caught Kate’s eye now. Fashion and Technology are set to merge this Summer as Kate Moss is about to launch a phone and tablet accessories collection for the renowned phone company. A somewhat surprising collaboration; however, it seems in today’s society you’re practically living in the Golden Age if you don’t own a smartphone or tablet device, therefore I’m sure a good percentage of fashion lovers out there cannot wait to get their hands on one of Miss Moss’s latest designs!
Japanese artist Rie Hosokai of Daisy Balloon has created this Wedding Dress entirely out of LEGO blocks for Tokyo’s “Piece of Peace” world heritage exhibition. Amazing, huh?! However, I’m still rather unclear of how you’re supposed to get in and out of it…
Hosokai stated of the construction: “There is fear in that we are all different from one another, but that is also the gateway to self-consciousness. Self-consciousness was once whole, but in the modern trend where all things whole get broken down, it too is about to get deconstructed. For that reason, people now seek to reconstruct their consciousness by extending it onto others. Through this process of extension, we have learned to unravel things down to their basic elements.”

I spent this afternoon in the studio shooting a fragrance advert for a couple’s perfume. Taking just simple shots, my team and I are going to overlay different textures onto the photographs. Our fragrance, Core, is inspired by the artist Carl Andre, whom draws from nature and geometrics in his own work. Here are a few of the photos I am currently editing, I will post the final images in the next few days.
